Who’s an Immigrant?

Any time the Illegal Alien issue comes up some jackass is bound to trot this one out; ‘We are all immigrants.” Excuse me? I’m an immigrant? My birth certificate has Commonwealth of Virginia on it! Did Virginia secede from the union again? Perhaps its because I once lived in New York? No that’s not it either; for better or worse, New York is still part of the US. Perhaps this applies to my parents? No, they where born here as well; Grandparents? Great-Grandparents? No and No. As far as I can tell, the only immigrant in the family, I am aware of was a fellow who got off a boat from England circa 1740. So, what does this statement mean?

The answer is quite simple. If Americans can be lead to believe that our claim on this land has equal or less validity than some one who just jumped a fence down in Nogales. Then it will be all the easier to steal it from us.
